Wintergreen Foods

Wintergreen Foods is located in Ontonagon, Michigan. It was established by Andrea and Scott Corpolongo Smith of Wintergreen Farm as a processing kitchen meant to fill the gaps between small farmers, institutional kitchens, and consumers across the Western Upper Peninsula. Wintergreen Foods does not offer certified organic products, but we only work with farmers who are committed to growing sustainably. To grow for Wintergreen Foods, a farmer must practice growing methods that build healthy soil and refrain from using synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. The mission of Wintergreen Foods is three fold. By providing locally grown, lightly processed produce, grains, and legumes to wholesale purchasers across the Upper Peninsula, Wintergreen Foods encourages sustainable agricultural practices, provides new opportunities for farmers, and expands healthy food options for the residents in our region.
