2017 was a year of big farm improvements! We developed a natural spring on our property to capture the most pure water available to supply our 4 gardens, including 2 high tunnels...We built a 2nd high tunnel in 2017 to expand our season and offerings for 2018. An addition of a commercial Walk In Cooler will make it possible to offer more of the tender varieties that we love! In addition to all of that, we also built a permanent farm stand that is open all through the spring, summer, and fall months, with an 'honor system' in place. We look forward to bringing you the best variety of fresh and healthy food possible! Our CSA program continues to get better and with free delivery to your door, you can't beat it! A little about us: Here at Glory Hill Family Farm, we are dedicated to growing all of our produce using natural practices. We have received our Certification through the Certified Naturally Grown Program. Growing naturally means, absolutely no artificial man made chemicals, fertilizers, or supplements. We grow naturally from start to finish, including the fertilizer and natural pesticides. Quite simply, all of our food is 100% safe and natural that you can eat straight from the garden. A little information on what naturally grown food looks and taste like...Naturally grown food is usually not perfect in appearance, there may be imperfections from the natural growing process and natural environment. We grow naturally using the natural sunlight and water and by using heirloom seeds (no GMOs). The taste will set you free! You won't know what you are missing until you've tried non-chemical ridden food. Nothing can be compared to a sun ripened heirloom tomato! Nature knows what she's doing. Growing naturally has many challenges and is more difficult than growing the other way. First off, it's far more labor intensive...since we're not using strong chemicals to control all the pests and the weeds, a lot of that work is done by hand. There are some natural ways of controlling these situations, but there is no easy trick that will work for everything.
