Pregitzer Farm Market started as a roadside stand in 1996. Since then we have grown tremendously and become a sustainable farm! We offer farm fresh local produce that is picked fresh daily and grown responsibly. Special priority is given to the health of our soil and produce. Our veggies are always fresh from the field thus retaining more nutrients and unbeatable flavor. Farm entertainment and education is important to us. We have 1 festival a year and starting in October we open our 5.5 acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, straw mountain, petting zoo, and start hayrides, etc. We also gladly offer farm tours, private parties, and field trips. You will find a wide assortment of vegetables." Like your own garden without the work!" Is our motto ! We are well known for extremely sweet red, orange, and yellow watermelon, gourmet melon, the best sweet corn around, and huge peppers! Flowers were added in 2008. We open in May to sell big beautiful baskets, pots, and flats. We also sell top quality vegetable plants. In 2007 we started a CSA program. In 2009 we had 104 CSA members! The CSA has grown rapidly and we look foreward to keep expanding in this area. Pregitzer Farm Market opens in May and closes late November. We also attend the farmers markets in Chelsea, Ann Arbor and possibly more in the future.

Upcoming Events

Special priority is given to the health of our soil and produce. We use cover crops with conventional tillage. Also the use of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. Most plants are in plastic culture to control weeds, warm the ground, and preserve moisture. Rye and clover are used for mulch and filter strips, and also add nutriton to the soil.
