Little short mountain farm is a cooperative farm nestled in the rolling hills of middle tennessee. We are offering csa shares for a 30 week season beginning in may during which we will grow over 60 different vegetables, fruits, and grains. We aim for high diversity in our crop varieties that include local, heirloom, and slowfoodusa ark of taste foods. Besides the csa, we will offer produce for sale at our farmstand where visitors can take advantage of our pick-ur-own cut flower garden, learn from our seed saving garden, and stock their pantry at a barn market that will offer end-of-season prepared foods. We are also creating the beginning of a farm school which will include classes on fermented foods, cheese making, seed saving and sustainable living. Finally, a livestock and hay co-op will round out little short mountain farm's activities. Future projects include mushroom cultivation and a native tree nursery.
