1 basket of produce per week starting June 1 and ending Oct. 29 for a total of 22 baskets. Baskets include approximately 20 lbs of produce, though often times it is more when for example there is potatoes or watermelon. We are growing beets, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, eggplant, green beans, green onions, hot peppers, kale, lettuce, onions, peas, potatoes, radishes, salad mix, spinach, sweet corn, sweet peppers, rhubarb, fresh herbs, watermelon, muskmelon, squash, pumpkins, kohlrabi, leeks, and flowers. In addition the subscription includes a cookbook with easy recipes and a vegetable guide and a bar of hand crafted soap once per month. The total product breakdown comes to about 450lbs of produce, a cookbook and 6 bars of soap. (FULL SHARE) We grow all of our vegetables using the Eliot Coleman method of organic farming. This just means that it's a soil based method. Our primary focus is on soil fertility and this in turn produces healthy plants. We do not use any synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Rather, we use clover as a cover crop and rely on strategic planting methods to maximize the plants natural resilience. The soil that we are planting on has not had chemicals on it for 5 years, though we have not been certified by the FDA as organic.
