Champaign County Farmers' Market

Welcome! Come and visit us at the Champaign County Farmers Market! Our market is the first in the state of Ohio to become a member of OHIO Proud, which extends extra benefits for both our market, and the community. Our vendors are often invited to attend events through Ohio Proud; a bonus as most events require no additional cost for vendors! We are located on the east side of St. Rt. 68, behind the City Building on East Market and South Locust Streets. Current market hours are Saturdays from 9:00A.M. to 1:00 P.M. May through October. We are an entirely vendor operated and managed market, with only active vendors qualifying for board membership positions. We encourage and strive to assist small growers, farms, and producers of local sundries with a venue that allows for community involvement, a family oriented atmosphere, and room for both our vendors and the market to grow. In conjunction with the city of Urbana, the Champaign County Farmers Market works closely with individuals in the Downtown City Association, the Champaign County Improvement Committee, First Friday's and the Home and Garden Tour. In 2009 we worked with Urbana University to bring "Key Ingredients" to Urbana; a traveling display put together with the Smithson Institution and Howard Sacks, Director off The Rural Life Center at Kenyon College. We also participate annually in our county's Barn Quilt tour, setting up vendor venues at participating farms throughout Champaign County. Our goal is to provide fresh, locally produced products to the community and to help people better understand the need for sustainable agricultural practices. Come and visit us!
