We grow mostly heirloom varieties of vegetables, fruits and herbs along with hazel nuts and black walnuts. We celebrate our local Italian heritage by growing many Italian varieties. We sell directly to you via our on-farm produce cart. See our seasonal harvest chart on our website. We use strict standards in our growing methods and we never use synthetic herbicides, pesticides or genetically modified seed. We use crop rotation, cover crops and companion plantings. Our food has more flavor and more variety than any imported supermarket produce. Most of the food sold in west central Illinois is produced outside of the region. We are changing this dynamic. Living Earth Farm hosts Kids Dig It gardening & cooking classes every Tuesday starting June 12th through August 14th, 2012: 9 am - 1 pm. Small classes. 2nd-5th graders only.
