Lost Lake Farm is a small family farm located 9 miles East of Kalkaska. We provide a diverse array of naturally grown vegetables and berries, with many heirlooms in our more than 90 varieties of vegetables. We seek to improve our soil with compost and minerals, and never use synthetic chemicals in our farming.
We also offer pastured pork and poultry. All our animals are derived from Heritage breeds, selected for their ability to thrive on pasture, and their outstanding flavor. Our animals are raised on grass and humanely treated. They are given non-GMO feed, and are free from antibiotics and hormones. We sell our pigs by the half or whole, and they are ready in October.
Instead of a CSA, we offer farm credits. Community members can purchase credits from us at any time during the season, which can be used on any of our products with the exclusion of half or whole pigs. Credits can be purchased in any amount starting at $100, and will receive a 10% bonus.
During the summer we sell at Alden Market Thursdays 4-8, and Elk Rapids Market Fridays 8-1. We also offer delivery in Kalkaska on Saturdays and Mondays, and to Traverse City on Tuesdays.
Contact us November - April for additional availability of storage crops, whole chickens, and cuts of pork.
