Lund Produce Co. Branchgrove Farms

Hello to all, my name is Kevin Lundgren. I am a fifth generation farmer in Travis County TX. I grow organic grains and produce crops, our business name is Lund Produce Co., or L.P.C. Lund .The name of our farm is Branchgrove Farms our farm resideds 35 miles from downtown Austin Tx. in the Lund comunity since 1904. I am proud to say that we have been farming this land since then. We have original plant stocks such as shallots, garlic, and oxblood lillie's. The heritage plants have been in our area for over a century, I am especially proud of our shallots as they have been part of our local gardens since the late 1800S We have taken this local heirloom from near extinction and have now made it available for others to enjoy, our garlic was saved from extension when the elderly farming couple passed away and their kids sold the farm. The farm and garden is now covered in asphalt, concrete and houses. I dug the garlic up and moved it to my farm. The shallot plants were a gift: I used to help lady in her garden and when she could no longer work in her garden she passed a hand full of bulbs to me and said here "my mom brought these from the old country " (Germany). At this time the lady was in her 80s and i was in my late twenties. Ten years have passed since then and the lady gardener has passed on but our local heirloom lives.
