We decided to retire our CSA. It is not available after the 2017 season. Our farm was continuing the family farming legacy passed on to us by our parents & grandparents, and by their grandparents before them, by sharing fresh, locally grown farm produce with our community in a manner that respects our families, our community and our environment. We have been using sustainable farming practices for over 25 years & are dedicated to growing healthy, hearty produce for you, your family and our local community. We have decided to retire and no longer offer the CSA. We are pleased to invite you to stop by the farm stand at Matthews Family Farm during the season and look forward to providing you with fresh vegetables throughout the growing season, We also invite you let us know what new crops you would like us to try to grow! In addition to our own local farmstand we were a charter member of Penn's Corner Farm Alliance and one of the earliest lifetime members of PASA (PA Assoc. for Sustainable Agriculture). For many years, our seasonal production of vegetable field crops included sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes, melons, zucchini, cucumbers, squash (summer & winter), numerous varieties of peppers (hot & sweet), broccoli, cabbage,beets, field greens, pumpkins, and more. Larger quantities of canning and freezing vegetables were available for home preserving most of the latter part of the growing season.
