We emulate the modern model of a rural part-time agriculture. We raise photogenic Texas Longhorn Cattle, who have many colorful calves. This versatile American Heritage beef is used for breeding stock, roping and penning, freezer beef, packaged products and just plain enjoyment for picture taking and pasture ornaments.
Take a walking tour or enjoy a picnic lunch. Take your picture with a real Texas Long horn riding steer by prior arrangement. Fresh produce is available in season. Soon to be added to our offerings will be Bloody Butcher, open pollinated seed corn, ground corn for cornmeal and polenta, and Indian corn for decoration, seed and meal.
In an area once know for production of great quantities of coal to support the early 20th century steel boom in the Pittsburgh/oungstown region, the farms and descendants of miners remain though the coal is nearly gone. Located a short driving distance from Route 40, Route 68, Route 50, Route 26, southern Pennsylvanis, Oakland, Maryland or Morgantown, West Virginia, we offer weekend or evening visits with personal attention, ponds to feed the fish, and plenty of photo opportunities.
We have quantities of frozen, vacuum packed beef, gourmet beef snack sticks, tangy summer sausage, and whole muscle jerky. Our Texas Longhorns are lean, tender, naturally low in cholesterol, and free of growth hormones and antibiotics.
Shipping is available for the processed beef products.
