Great River Gardens Inc

Great River Gardens is an 80 acre farm on the Mississippi River north of Aitkin, Minnesota. Great River Gardens operates 2 Garden Centers, in the city of Aitkin and the city of McGregor. We also travel to farmer's markets from Brainerd to Grand Rapids and offer a CSA with many distribution points in the area. Great River Gardens employs sustainable growing practices including crop rotation, use of manures, green manures, cover crops, mulches and integrated pest management, along with a minimum use of pesticides. We grow almost all the plants and produce that we sell and we sell most of our production directly to consumers. Our Garden Centers are open from April thru October and our CSA program runs from approximately June 1 thru November. We also offer asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and some vegetables Pick Your Own on the farm.
