We are a small family farm in sunny Central Florida. We operate a functional, sustainable homestead and support ourselves by selling organic permaculture plants and heirloom seed that we grow onsite.
All of our seeds and plant are heirloom varieties that have been personally tested over many decades for use in a Southeastern climate. We have chosen plants that are heat tolerant, bolt tolerant, do well in sandy or poor soils, and are mold and mildew resistant. By saving our own seed, we acclimate them even more to this area.
We never use any chemical pesticides, fertilizers, or other kind of poison anywhere on our property. We practice earth friendly growing methods such as crop rotation, composting our own fertilizers, hand weeding our garden areas, and irrigating with collected rainwater. Our farm is licensed by the state of Florida and inspected by the USDA.
Currently our plants and seed are for sale weekly every Monday evening from 5pm until 9:00 pm at the Audubon Park Farmer's Market. Our seeds are also for sale through our online store at: www.crispyfarms.com
