Michelle Doll Mother Earth's Urban Farm

Family Farm
Due to Michelle having been injured, we will be unable to fill orders for the foreseeable future. We recommend Sweetwater Organic for fresh vegetables, and they even have a Sunday market if you don't want to commit to a CSA membership. Dancing Goat has eggs and goat milk products available. We hope to come back to work after a few months off for surgery and recovery. See you next year! If you need more information, please call me at 813-748-2310. I spend most of my time in the field, so the phone is the best way to reach me. I'm not able to answer messages left on this site in a timely manner. Thanks! We have a beautiful little farm in a residential neighborhood, with citrus, mulberry, and loquat trees, pineapple, and Suriname Cherry bushes, and much more. In the center of the property is a beautiful "mini-forest" of citrus and oak with Suriname cherries as the understory. Ginger grows in the shade, as well as many flowers. We have a children's play area and picnic tables, which members and volunteers are encouraged to use. Farm tours are available at noon on Saturday & by appointment, in season (ie: NOT Summer). We use permaculture and organic methods to grow our lovely fruits and vegetables. All our inputs are strictly organic, especially the fertilizers (composted horse stable sweepings, worm castings, and a hand blended mix of natural products such as composted manure, lime, phosphate rock, and powdered kelp). Our seeds are grown in a mixture of coconut coir and worm compost (grown and harvested onsite). We try to avoid using anything which must be imported from off-site, such as peat moss. Our mulch is recycled tree limbs and leaves donated from local, small-business tree trimmers. The composted horse manure comes from a local stable. Please come out and see our lovely farm. It's an oasis of peaceful green in a concrete jungle.
