Yankey Farms is a small family owned and operated produce farm located in Prince William County, Virginia. We grow a variety of fruits and vegetables that we market through our roadside stand and CSA. We also operate a pick-your-own pumpkin patch on weekends in October and a pick your own strawberry patch in the spring. For those who grow their own gardens, in May we sell a wide variety of heirloom and hybrid vegetable transplants grown in our greenhouse. While we are not organic we employ many organic and environmentally conscious production practices including cover crops, no-till planting, crop rotation, nutrient management planning, and compost application. For pest control we follow and integrated pest management program where we constantly monitor crops pests and select only the safest practice or product to control a certain pest if control is warranted.
