Prairie Hilltop Farm

Prairie Hilltop Farm has been family owned for over 50 years. Rhonda and David Mixdorf are currently working on organic certification. Over 80% of the fruits and vegetables are heirloom varieties with some varieties having been family grown for 100 years.We are located by the intersection of Highway 34 and 169, 1 mile west of Thayer, Iowa. We raise transplants and fresh fruits and vegetables.We have an on-site farm stand and sell at the Wintersett Farmers Market and the Creston Farmers Market. We raise over 40 varieties of tomatoes and 20 varieties of melons. Over 20 varieties are Ark of Taste products.
