Plowshare Produce

Plowshare Produce is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm located in McAlevy's Fort, "The Heart of Stone Valley." Micah and Bethany Spicher Schonberg are grateful to rent six acres of Bethany's parents' land, where her great-grandfather farmed with horses in the 1940's.

At Plowshare Produce, we are committed to being good neighbors in our community and careful stewards of the land. We grow healthy, tasty vegetables without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Our gardens and greenhouses are certified by Pennyslvania Certified Organic.

We invite you to become a Plowshare Produce shareholder by signing up for a weekly bag of fresh, local vegetables from the last week of May through the first week of November, or by joining our Flex Share list to order a share anytime throughout the season.

Our CSA Farm Share provides a family with vegetables all season long, and it includes a newsletter that offers recipes and tips for creating nutritious, delicious meals from your weekly bag. Half Shares offer the opportunity to pick up a share every other week.

Local folks are welcome to sign up for our Flex Share list - you'll receive our weekly newsletter and you can order a share whenever you like, pay as you go and pick up your veggies here at the farm on Fridays.

Plowshare Produce is in McAlevy's Fort along Route 26 - sixteen miles south of State College and sixteen miles north of Huntingdon. Share are available at the farm or at a central location in State College.
