Friends Farm is a small family farm near Altoona, and 40 minutes from Raystown Lake. We use regenerative agricultural methods to grow a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, eggs, flowers and even honey bees. Meat from our pasture raised chickens, sheep, beef cattle and pigs is available only in our on farm market. Everything grown here is sold directly from the farm to our customers. You can see our gardens, animals, and ask the farmers questions.
Our on farm market is open every Tuesday 9 to11am, Friday 1 to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 3pm beginning April 22, 2025. There is a small commercial kitchen in our market building where our meats and all natural produce are used to create take and heat dinners, soups, and sides. Every Friday we bake a wide variety of fresh whole grain and Artisan breads, coffee cakes, biscotti, muffins, cookies and granola. Every Saturday morning we bake fresh scones, and invite customers to explore the gardens, visit the goats in the barn, and have a cup of coffee. There will be you-pick flowers and red raspberries in late summer. Produce is harvested fresh every morning. There are no chemicals what so ever used on this farm.
