We are the first established CSA in the Poweshiek County/Grinnell area and serve the local area with fresh vegetables, eggs and poultry products. Our CSA is a buffet style CSA with the shareholders picking up their bounty at our place on the NE corner of Grinnell. We offer produce from May to December and have pasture raised broilers and turkeys for sale, along with eggs from our heritage breeds of layers. This year, 2015, we have added pork products to our selections. Guinea Hogs, which are a heritage breed of pork, are being raised on fresh forage, garden produce and local grains. They are a gentle breed and much smaller than typical commercial hogs of today. The meat is darker, more marbled and better tasting when compared to current pork products available.
