Our farm's primary offerings include fresh food, connection, and inspiration for visitors. In this way, we propagate greater sustainability in our local and regional community. We host campers through "Mountain Home Tent Sites" via HipCamp and will begin hosting WWOOFers in 2023. In 2022, we established 'Fledge Fest,' a community music and arts celebration held on our beautiful hill top event space.
We cultivate one acre of intensively-managed annual and perennial vegetables and herbs for our CSA, local farmer's market and several local natural food stores. We grow a variety of veggies, herbs, and perennials for sale at our Spring Plant sale in May. We are blessed to maintain the rich plantings of fruits trees and other perennials planted by previous owners including many medicinal species and long-term farm plans include improving and expanding diverse interplantings of perennial fruit and nut crops. We manage our pastures with a small herd of heritage breed cows for milk and beef production, layer hens, and a mixed-breed flock of sheep for meat. We manage a large forest of mixed hard- and soft-wood species for firewood, timber, and maple syrup production. We work to continually improve the sustainability and resiliency of our farm's systems while producing high quality food for our farm residents and our local community.
