Habitat Farms is a family-owned and operated farm located east of Atlanta in Mansfield, GA. Practicing sustainable and organic farming methods, we raise pastured Berkshire Pork, pastured eggs, grass-fed lamb and seasonal produce. Our mission is to grow and support a local food community providing real, quality food that provides real nourishment and tastes great. Our meats and produce can currently be bought directly from our farm, and every Saturday at the Marietta Square Farmer's Market in downtown Marietta. We'll be attending additional farmer's markets in 2013, and we'll have our online store complete by mid-March for convenient, direct from farm purchases. Additionally, we offer a seasonal CSA program with weekly baskets packed full of seasonal, fresh produce, as well as additional add-ons including our pastured meats and eggs. Whole Chickens Only (as you would find in the grocery store � featherless, without heads or feet, packaged in plastic bags for convenient storage. Offal can be included based upon request. Price: $5/lb, average size between 3.5-4.5 lbs per chicken. Orders of 10 or more chickens, save 10% off your order! Bring a cooler. The delivery date may be subject to change based on weather, weight gain, and other environmental factors. We�ll keep everyone posted, and we�ll work our best to accommodate different schedules. We require that pre-ordered birds are picked up at the scheduled pick up locations and times. However, we do understand that there are extenuating circumstances. If something comes up, just let us know, and we�ll freeze your birds for on-farm pick up at a later date. How to Reserve Your Bird Pay online with the button below � select the number of chickens you�d like, where you�ll pick them up, and pay a $10 deposit per chicken. The remainder owed will be calculated based on the final weight of the birds, and paid upon pick up. Want to pay by check instead? No problem at all! As a small farm, checks help us keep processing fees low.
