The Farm at Our House is an 8 acre, certified organic mixed vegetable farm. Our farm (an LLC) is located on the land of a nonprofit, Our House, a residential job-training program for at-risk youth. Our House trainees are mentored in life skills and carpentry and prepare for their GED. Through the collaboration between Our House and the farm, Our House trainees also have the opportunity to gain employment and experience in organic farming.
We offer a CSA with on-farm and Rockville pick up locations, and sell our produce through the Silver Spring farmers market and area restaurants like Black's Bar and Kitchen, Addie's, Black's Market Bistro, Ricciuti's Restaurant, Il Pizzico and Roots Market.
We specialize in carrots, heirloom tomatoes and everything green. We also raise ginger, tumeric, shitake mushrooms and small fruit. Contact Farmer Grossman with all inquiries.
