There is a whole subgenre of American music called "train songs" and our proximity to an old railway means we hear the music of passing trains several times a day. I love it. To me, it is one of the defining features of this little forgotten corner of Ray County, Missouri.
In 2015 we are planting our second large scale market garden and will be offering fresh fruits, herbs and vegetables in the Ray County area. When the market opens we will take orders online and we'll meet you Saturday mornings on the Richmond town square for pick up. Right now we are starting the season's first seeds under lights in our tiny greenhouse and dreaming of spring.
Train Song Farm is me and my partner Joe and our three little boys. Our produce is naturally grown and free of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Our mission is to provide local families with fresh, wholesome food, and unite Ray County growers with Ray County citizens so we can enjoy the fruits of local labor (and maybe make fewer trips to the big box store that drove out all of our local grocers).
