Note: Update above is from 2012.
Today is May 27, 2020. Please stand by as new information will be added. This page was created in 2008, as an "if you build it, they will come" entity. I had started my urban oasis at home, and posted pictures of my garden on Facebook, which I later turned into a Facebook group. I wanted others to participate, gave a talk at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Fall of 2008, accompanied by a slide show of my garden. Over 100 people attended! It was standing room only, and I knew a movement was ready to be born. I wanted people to join in, and there was excitement, but not a lot of action. (to be continued...)
