Wakarusa Valley Farm

We are a certified organic mushroom and vegetable farm. We have been continuously certified since 1989. We grow 13 kinds of mushrooms, 30 kinds of vegetables, and raise corn and sunflowers as mushroom substrate. We have a certified processing kitchen where we prepare tamales, mushroom pate, dried mushrooms, and spinach pesto. We grow lots of watermelons, peppers, garlic, carrots, leeks, beans, and salad mix. You can find us at Lawrence Farmers Market and at City Market in Kansas City. We are involved in two CSAs--Rolling Prairie Farmers Alliance since 1994 and our Topeka CSA since 1997.
