Pike County's Market on the Square offers fresh local produce, yard eggs, baked goods, cut flowers, nursery plants, homemade soaps and quality heirloom crafts within an hour's drive south of Atlanta, GA. Open 8 til noon on Saturdays. The 2008 season runs from April 19 through October.
Located in a shady pecan grove on the south side of Zebulon's picturesque courthouse square. A trip to the Market can be combined with a drive through the rural landscape around Pike County, antique shopes, music barns, quaint restaurants such as Ruth's, which features Southern cooking and is famous for homemade lemon pie.

I very much enjoy my weekly fresh produce and it is a must to support our local farmers. Their hard work planting, weeding, harvesting simply means I don't have to. I can't possibly grow the variety or volume these farmers do.
