Heritage Gardens, located in Winchester, Connecticut, was founded in the spring of 2011 to be a Food Bank Farm. Our principal mission is to provide high-quality organically grown fresh produce to area food banks and soup kitchens. We donate thousands of pounds of fresh produce to hunger relief organizations in the Torrington-Winsted area each year.

In order to help continue our mission, and to provide for the long-term financial needs of the farm, we offer a very well-received Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and sell to several local markets.

We grow dozens of varieties of over 40 different types of vegetables, herbs, and flowers using an intensive raised bed system. Although we are not currently certified organic, we do follow the National Organic Program standards and have signed the CT NOFA Farmer's Pledge.
