This spring, Whistling Wolf Farm is entering its second growing season, offering delicious, sustainably grown vegetables and herbs to our community. We are currently leasing just under five acres, with two in production, in Pittstown, located in Hunterdon county New Jersey. Through our farm we hope to increase the availability of local, fresh, and nutritious food while preserving the local ecology that we depend on. We farm with respect and care and are always learning how to do a better job. Although not certified organic yet, we are working towards certification and aim to be by 2016.
You can find our produce Thursdays at the Somerville Farmers Market, open June through October or Saturdays at the Metuchen Farmers Market, June through October, Saturdays.
We also offer farm memberships to our special Market CSA. Members open an account with us by prepaying and can then pick up the produce of their choice at market, the cost is taken out of their account. This leaves the freedom to select the types and quantities of produce wanted, the flexibility to pick up produce only when needed (reducing waste), offers a real sense of belonging at market, all while providing the opportunity to cultivate a relationship with your farmer and your food source. Please email for more information if you are interested.
We love to get the community involved. If you are interested in interning or volunteering, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
