We utilize organic farming practices growing a wide variety of vegetables using many old and new varieties including heirlooms. All of the vegetables we grow at ZJ Farm are for distribution to Local Harvest CSA members.
We are committed to living the vision of community supported agriculture. Central to our collaborative CSA model is our continuing efforts to facilitate the ability of young and beginning farmers to join our farming community. We have two aspiring young farmers joining us in 2010.
We are equally committed to our larger community and extra produce from our CSA harvest and any vegetables that remain at drop sites after the designated pick-up time are distributed into local neighbourhoods and communities where they are needed the most.

Members pick up their shares at the Iowa City Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings between 5:30 and 7:00 PM. It is a great time to meet up with other members and share recipes and ideas for cooking that new veggie in the box.
