Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market

The Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market runs Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 1pm June 7 - October 11, 2014. The Market features nearly 50 vendors of locally grown vegetables, herbs, plants and cut flowers, as well as baked goods, popsicles, hot food, island berry jams, jellies, fruit and honey in season, eggs when available, and locally, hand-crafted ceramics, jewelry, textiles, paintings, woodworking, leathercraft, and other island crafts all made by Nantucketers on Nantucket. The Entertainment Tent features local musicians and educational and chef demonstrations from some of the island's world-class restaurants.

The Mid-Island Market is a great place to buy local farm produce on the way home from work or the beach. This Market is held Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-6:30 pm at The Muse on Surfside Road, July 8-Aug. 23, 3:30-6:30pm.

The Market's mission is to help grow a healthy Nantucket by providing fresh produce directly from local growers to residents, supporting a healthy local economy, promoting local cottage industry and educating the community about the personal benefits of healthy eating and the economic benefits of supporting local entrepreneurs.
