The mission of the Athens, Texas Farmers Market is to provide children and adults in Athens and surrounding areas with locally-grown foods and farm products as well as locally handmade items. This will be accomplished by improving access to local, healthy, affordable food through a direct farm-to-consumer marketing venue that serves the diverse populations of our community. Other goals that the ATxFM strives to achieve are increased education and support of local area agriculture and artisans.
