At Drumlin Farm, we are committed to practicing agriculture and animal husbandry that provides quality food without stripping the land of its vitality. Our farm is situated on a Mass Audubon wildlife conservation site, where our focus is on maintaining high soil fertility and quality vegetable production in harmony with our surrounding ecosystem and nature preservation goals. Our Farmstand: We operate a farm stand at the sanctuary year round. When in season, we sell fresh-picked produce, eggs, maple syrup, meat, yarn and sheepskins. The farmstand is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Our Livestock : As a working farm, we raise sheep, goats, cattle, pigs and laying hens. All of our animals are raised with plenty of space, fresh air, and without the use of growth hormones or routine antibiotics. Our meat is available seasonally at our farmstand and selection will vary depending on the animals being raised at any given time. We also sell our produce at the Union Square Farmer's Market on Saturdays 9:00am - 1:00pm. Our market season spans from May until November. Drumlin Farm CSA: The Drumlin Farm CSA program provides vegetables to 100 families in spring, 150 in summer, and 100 in winter. Rather than needing to buy food that has been extensively processed and shipped to supermarkets from all over the world, members enjoy vegetables grown near home and, in the case of the winter CSA, preserved in a traditional manner in our root cellar. The choice not only benefits the environment by reducing energy spent on food transport, but also improves our health and quality of life by increasing our intake of naturally grown vegetables. We have a variety of options available by season: -Spring: Full shares and Pick-Your-Own (PYO) Produce -Summer: Full and Half shares and PYO Produce and PYO Flowers -Fall: Full and Half shares and PYO Produce -All Seasons- We have SNAP CSA shares available. We also have a limited number of work shares available. See our website for details. Register online at www.massaudubon.org/drumlincsa. Somerville Farmer's Market: We attend the Union Square Farmer's Market every Saturday from 9:00am until 1:00pm during the growing season - May through November. Come talk to us about our Beyond Organic growing practices, and buy freshly harvested vegetables from our lovely and diverse stand! Restaurants: Drumlin Farm partners with over 25 restaurants in Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington, Newton, and Lincoln. We provide these restaurants with high quality, fresh produce on a weekly basis. Email us for a list of our restaurant partners!
