We invite you to visit us in the heart of Chattanooga, TN. every Wednesday afternoon from 4 -6 pm April-November (4-5 pm December-March) at 522 West Main St in the north parking lot of Finley Stadium. Hope to see you soon! The mission of the MSFM is to inspire healthy, environmentally responsible lifestyles by fostering relationships within the local food community. We envision a Chattanooga made vibrant and prosperous through our connection to the food we eat and the people who produce it. Our founding mission was to provide a direct marketing opportunity for small family farms while providing the community of Chattanooga with a wide variety of fresh and healthy fruits, vegetables, and quality USDA inspected local grass fed beef, forested pork, and pastured poultry. Our goals are to help build more small farms in the region by creating a profitable market place in Chattanooga, create an interaction between farmer and consumer, and to create a conversation about the importance of having local farms in our region. In order for more small farms to exist in our region, then they need a community of consumers who support them; in order for consumers to have access to safe, healthy, and fresh local foods, then there needs to be local farms. This symbiotic relationship represents the economy of local food. We are able to create our culture and to build our community based on what we chose to support by our actions.
