Spurgeon Veggies CSA

Spurgeon Veggies is a women-owned, diversified dual-farm operation in Rio and East Galesburg, Illinois. Founded in 2007, we grow about ten acres of vegetables and produce our own free-range eggs and meat chicken, with plans to expand into hogs and turkeys.

We provide local produce and eggs through our 100-member Community Supported Agriculture (farm share) program, our new farm stand in Rio open in the spring and summer, and at our expansive booth at the Galesburg Farmers' Market from May through October.

Our produce is grown 100% locally (no truck ins) with as few synthetic inputs and as much emphasis on environmental awareness as we can. Our goal is to provide food that looks good, is good for you, and above all, tastes great!
