Harrison County Farmers' Market

Harrison Co. Farmers' Market has been around for many years and over the years we had different locations. The year of 2011 was very exciting for us getting a brand new home at the Flat Run Veterans Park located on Oddville Ave. Thanks to grants that we received, we have a fantastic sales pavilion for our farmers, crafts persons and our customers. Gone is the large gravel lot with the pop-up tents that the farmers had to use. Now we have an outstanding shelter with a concrete floor, large picnic tables, and a large sales area. Our local crafts persons also utilize this area for their sales. Customers can walk right up to their favorite farmer and shop. Our new home also has restrooms, a large kitchen and our very own large walk-in refrigerator. Many of our farmers sell everyday at the market so having the refrigerator really helps keep the extra produce readily available. We sale on Tuesdays from 3pm - 6pm, Fridays from 9am - 1pm and Saturdays 9am - 1pm. Our opening day is Saturday April 21, 2012. We anticipate the number of producers to increase this year as they did last year. We accept vouchers from the KY WIC and SENIOR Programs sponsored by the Department of Agriculture. Our market is a producer only market in which our farmers and crafts persons grow, produce and sell their own goods.
