Since 1984, Michael Fields Agricultural Institute has been devoted to developing an agriculture that can sustain the land and its resources. As a public, non-profit learning center, we seek to revitalize farming with research, education, technical assistance and public policy. Fields Best Stores and Nokomis Organic Bakery providing local and organic produce at: Milwaukee Public Market, 400 Water St. and East Troy, W2463 County Rd ES. Fields Best in East Troy is also home to Nokomis Organic Bakery specializing in artisan breads baked with wheat grown at Michael Fields and stone-ground on premise.
Michael Fields Agricultural Institute offers place-based education through cutting edge workshops. Our courses are designed to serve as entry points and pathways at every of phase of an agrarian life-newly emerging farmers and farmers in transition will benefit from these courses. Consumers can enter into farm life through cooking, gardening, and farm tours. At Michael Fields, you will engage in interactive workshops and on-site field trainings.
