A Jersey Girl who is trying to be a good steward of her corner of the SC Upstate. I raise happy and healthy Nigerian Dwarf goats for "gardening duties" and milking. We have friendly, healthy kids for sale from time to time. Please check my sales page on my website for availability. Deposits ($20) are being accepted for our Heritage turkeys for the holidays. The price per pound is $6.50. Last year we were sold out by September. I'll have Narragansett and Jersey Buff turkeys (both on Slow Food Ark of Taste) available for 2013. The Narragansett is a cross between native Eastern wild turkeys and those brought to America by colonists. Taste the difference, and serve a TRUE American tradition this holiday season. Turkeys will be processed by AWI standards and come with USDA label. My farm is pesticide-free. We are Animal Welfare Approved. Poultry (turkeys and chickens are not given added antibotics). All poultry is cage-free. Everything is kept happy by roaming pastures. My farm help includes George the Donkey who protects animals from coyote, Buffy the Varmint Slayer (Great Pyrnes x Bouvier), chickens working in the garden to keep down insects, and goats who do my weeding.
