We are a family owned and operated specialty crop farm outside of Carlyle IL. Using small 1-4 acre plots we grow 25 acres of vegetables through the spring/summer/fall.
We are able to offer a steady supply of free range brown eggs year round from the approximately 800 laying hens who free range in our pecan orchards. Hand fed and hand gathered from chickens with names. Spoiled chickens really do lay better eggs!
We are committed to taking good care of the land, and providing delicious, healthy food for our community. We grow 20-25 acres of vegetables for our CSA shares, farmers markets, and whole sale accounts. Our work combines a love of land with a commitment to a lifestyle that celebrates our passion for delicious, local, sustainable food.
We could not be successful farmers if we did not believe in hard work. Plants keep growing (even during the weekend) and must be taken care of on their schedules. Some would say that we work too hard, but we feel that it is worth it because we feel so passionately about the importance of what we do!
