KJewelsFarm practices by standards better than organic, selling from my market garden by appointment, growing for restaurants in my greenhouse, raising sheep (BFL--Blue Faced Leicester and Romney of all colors) and keeping chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese and guinea hens under the watchful eyes of my guardian animals. I produce heritage breeds including Recessive Slate and Sweetgrass turkeys, Khaki Campbell and White Appleyard ducks, Pilgrim geese and Rhode Island Red, Barred Rock, Buff Orpingtons, Slo-White and Black Astralorp chickens.
I believe in mentoring others to understanding permaculture, no-dig gardening and other environment-friendly methods and co-existing with beneficial insects and animals to yield healthy, good-tasting foods for my individual and restaurant customers.
I am an old, woman, veteran (US Air Force) farmer/rancher.
