We add a teaspoon of rosemary to biscuit dough (or to flour to make dough) and serve these biscuits with apricot or peach jam. Just delicious. The taste of Arlene's fresh, dried rosemary is the best!

Fast, dependable service, delicious dried spices and herbs, wrapped with care, a special handwritten "thank you" note and a sample gift enclosed:
Thank you, Arlene, for the Fleur de Sel, a sweet, moist salt. We add a pinch (or so) to our morning coffee. (We started doing this after reading about it online.)
Your chili con carne is my favorite and goes well with your dry mustard. We love this combo sprinkled on a (salted and peppered) pizza before placing it in the oven. When it's done, we sprinkle a little garlic powder over it.
The Dried Vegetable Mix tastes great in a make-ahead potato salad: Diced, cooked potatoes, 1/3 cup mayo, 1/3 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup dried vegetable mix, 1/2 cup water (to hydrate the vegetables and moisten the potatoes), juice of a small lemon and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (apple cider vinegar and lemon juice complement each other), salt and pepper. Just received my first order of Mullein Leaf herb for making tea. The ordering and delivery were efficient and the tea is great. It's hard to find anyone who carries that product around here (Denton, Texas), so I appreciate having a new source. I will be back for more.

I have been buying seasonings & dried vegetables from Home Farm Herbery for several years and have been a very happy customer. All items have been of excellent quality, and the orders are shipped quickly & arrive within a few days of being placed. One time the free sample that came with my order was of Spanish Rosemary Sea Salt. My wife & I really liked it. On my next order, I couldn't find it on their website. My wife called & spoke with Arlene, who then made a special batch of it for us (it's also been put back as available on the website). That's OUTSTANDING customer service! The Dried Vegetable Mix is the original product I ordered from Home Farm Herbery several years ago & the reason I've continued to come back here. It is outstanding. I mainly use it for making soups. I love soup, but don't want to get canned soup due to excess salt & other ingredients they put in it. This is absolutely the best dried vegetable mix I have come across.

I love using this blend. My favorite use is making ground turkey meatloaf & meatballs with it. Ingredients are of outstanding quality. Has become a staple in my kitchen. As with other items, shipment arrives within a few days of ordering.

I found the recipe for caraway bread and will be modifying it to work with Gluten Free flours and duck eggs. As a certified Celiac baker, I am always trying to help those who have the disease great tasting breads and desserts that can be used so that they can have something like those who don't have the disease. I used this spice at two different reunion picnics and nothing was left behind of 10# of chicken breasts that had been cut into strips.

The first was a small group where I had more chicken than there were picnickers. Just the same, people hurried to grab some for take-home when I said that I might have to dispose of it because I was traveling.
The second group was larger and cleaned up the pan.

I would send this in a message rather than a review if I could see where to send a message. Since I don't see that option, I'm writing here. I ordered Shallot Powder but received Dried Shallots. Unfortunately, that will not work for my purposes. I would like to have the Shallot Powder please.

My order arrived quickly, packaged with care, with a handwritten "thank-you" note and sample gift inside. (They seem passionate about what they do.)
We brew their Stevia (natural herb sweetener) right along with loose-leaf tea to pleasantly sweeten it. We make chicken stock with lots of thyme and celery flakes, and we add their Mexican seasonings, cayenne, chili powder, and chili con carne to just about everything. Their Sun Dried Tomato Powder is delicious. We are hoping to try their Pizza seasoning, soon.
Their locally grown seasonings have a better taste than that grown abroad, and they're affordable, too, a 4-oz package of thyme or rosemary will more than fill a pint-size mason jar, and their blends are well worth the time and labor put into them. We have actually given thanks for "spices and herbs"" in our prayers, they are that good.

I am very happy to have found this Herbery online. I will never buy another tea from the store again. Arlene is amazing. She adds her touches, by writing a little note with every shipment, by including a gift with every shipment. Brings a smile to my face every time I open a package from her.

My order arrived quickly, securely packaged with a small sample/ gift packet enclosed. A 4-oz package of dried thyme (or rosemary) will more than fill a (pint size) mason jar. My favorite blend is the chili con carne seasoning. I was reluctant to purchase it for the price, but it turned out to be so delicious that I bought another 4-oz bag as soon as I was out!

Eurika!!! We have been looking for Pot Herbs for years. McCormick and other major herb & spice companies stopped producing them. We know it's a mix of several herbs that make up Pot Herb but knowing the correct proportion of each is key.

My mother in law used Pot Herb for stews and soups that were incomparably delicious. Now we can attempt to reproduce those wonderful meals. LocalHarvest and particularly Home Farm Herbery, LLC was the only hit I got on the Internet for Pot Herb. Their service was quick and communicating with Home Farm Herbery, LLC was clear and prompt.
We ordered the one pound package as winter is approaching and we anticipate lots of soups and stews to keep our inner core warm. This also allows us to share portions with friends and family over the holidays. They would make wonderful little gifts. I recently reordered the Dried Vegetable Mix from Home Farm Herbery, it's quality is outstanding!! Very versatile. I love making vegetable broth for homemade soup with them, as these are organic vegetables & I can control the sodium content, which makes my soup healthier to those available commercially. I'd been searching for celery powder without salt for a long time when I happened upon this powder. It's great ! I've ordered it twice now, keeping the extra in the freezer. It keeps nicely and has a nice flavor. The vendor is very easy to work, even sending a free sample pack of another herb. Very pleased with the product and the company.

I found this resource online, searching for haricot vert seeds. I quickly received my heirloom (a happy surprise) seeds, plus a gift (another surprise) of heirloom Pak Choi seeds. If the quality of the beans matches this level of service, and I expect that to be the case, I'm coming back for more.

These are for a community garden we are starting up as a school project but I have recently taken interest in starting my own vegetable and herb garden at home. I stumbled upon Home Farm Herbery by accident. I was looking for seeds and tea on LH.org and found so much more at this farm's store. I purchased so many delicious dried seasonings (tomato flakes, shallots, mushrooms). When I opened the envelope, the smell was incredible! The quality of the seasonings is fantastic and tasty.

Non-hybrid Atlantic and Waltham 29 are higher in minerals and probably other nutrients. In 2011 a USDA researcher reported that modern, hybrid broccoli with large heads and small beads is lower in 10 minerals studied.

I came to the Local Harvest website looking specifically for homestead tomatoes, and found exactly what I was looking for sold by Home Farm Herbery LLC. I also ordered eggplant and stevia, and was very pleased at how quickly everything shipped. I was also pleasantly surprised to find seed starting instructions, along with a complementary pack of seeds and a handwritten note! I planted half of the seeds immediately and within 5 days had seedlings sprouting! I have been very pleased with my purchase and will definitely purchase from Home Farm Herbery again.

After fruitless searches on amazon.com and in our local Fresh Market for dried Shiitake mushroom, I came across these.I say 'fruitless' search not because there are no dried Shiitakes available, but because available on amazon.com and etc. mushrooms have questionable place of origin, which is not always specified. On the top of not knowing where the mushrooms came from, the ones I almost bought in Fresh Market had fungus growing inside of them. I gave up and turned to my favorite site of all - localharvest.org. Here i came across Home Farm Hereby. my order arrived almost immediately after i placed it. The mushrooms are INCREDIBLE! Excellent condition, smoky forest smell comes out every time I open their package. 'Miss' Arlene also added her amazing dried celery spice as a gift. it is good to know that I am helping St. Jude Research Hospital with my purchase.

I was looking for bee balm seeds and happened on this site, they have a wonderful variety of herbs spices and seeds. The prices are very good too. I ordered on Fri, 7/4 and received my package on the following Mon.7/7,impressive. I ordered tarragon seeds (hard to find!) and purple spinach seeds, and within just a few days I received a lovely hand-addressed envelope, with the seeds I ordered plus a bonus, plus, best of all, some very useful tips for germination. Best I've ever read, actually!

I just received an order of heirlooms seeds, lavender, Haricot Verts & an added bonus included in my order, Beef Steak tomatoes. So far Home Farm Herbery's service is excellent. I received my order very quickly which included detailed instructions to ensure germination success and also a personal note from Ailene regarding my order. I will let you know the outcome mid summer when hopefully I am enjoying the bounty of my harvest!

I just received my lemon mint and Stevia seeds from this company, they were packaged well and I got instructions, even a Master gardener needs reminders for starting seeds at time, I got several pages of instructions and a nice note in pretty purple ink. I will enjoy a permanent relationship with this company.

I received my lavender only 3 days after ordering it, and am frankly surprised that my mail lady didn't "accidentally" drive it around with her for a few more days. I am sure that my package was the best smelling box she has delivered in a long time. Even sealed, the fragrance is beyond delightful, the color of the buds is rich, and they are very well packaged. This is the first time I have ordered from Arlene, but surely not the last. I was also impressed with the friendliness and honest business practices of HFH, and their support of St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I will definitely recommend them to my friends.

P.S. I added a teaspoon (or so) of sugar to the potato salad to balance the lemon juice, or use less lemon juice, no sugar, and more apple cider vinegar to taste. Thanks! Also, I drizzle olive oil (my husband likes butter) on the prepared pizza just out of the oven and a shake of garlic powder.
