Mudjoy Farm

Americans derive almost all of their calories from just 12 crops. Yet, botanists estimate that 10,000 edible plants exist. Our mission is to showcase some of these novel and rare crops, while at the same time offering the traditional varieties that we all know and love. Our CSA share offers people who love to cook a chance to experiment but also provides everyday vegetables for those who are in a hurry. Early in the season, the contents of the share are decided by the farmer. But once the season kicks in, members are able to choose the contents of their share via a weekly email. Because we grow such a diversity of crops, this system is great for those who have their hearts set on cooking a particular recipe that week. Though we are not certified organic at this point, we do follow the organic protocols and even surpass them in our refusal to use any sprays, organic or not.
