2015 Early Bird Markets April 17th and 24th with select vendors with seedlings, spring veggies, and baked goods! Regular full market starts May 2! The Madison Farmers' Market is a wonderful, old-fashioned, producers only market in the heart of a beautiful agricultural setting. There is a real community spirit here where every one knows each other and the vendors are all small family farmers. This market has everything you need to keep your family well-fed! Here, select from the choicest, picked-fresh-for-you vegetables and a wide selection of heirloom and organically grown varieties as well. Orchard fruits from apples to peaches and berries of all kinds are in abundance as well as melons and sweet corn in season. You can also stock up on your local, pastured, anti-biotic and hormone-free meats: Chicken, Turkey, Pork, Beef, Goat, and Lamb are all from Madison County farms that raise their animals with tender-loving care and your family's well-being in mind. And don't forget to pick up some of the county's best baked goods and specialty sweet desserts as well as local honey and sorghum! The first Saturday of every month offers samples of products along with demonstrations, entertainment, and information. Bring the kids and the dogs! Customers and vendors support local food banks through the Groaning Board, and on-site collection area that accepts excess fresh food and distributes it to the folks who need it the most.
