Nestled in the heart of Allegany County in the quaint village of Alfred is The Alfred Farmers Market. The market is a growers-only market, meaning that vendors must grow or produce everything they sell. Vendors are from a radius of 30 miles of Alfred, NY. We aim to support agriculture as a way of life by providing growers with an opportunity to sell directly to the public. Come listen to live music, enjoy seasonal recipes, educational demonstrations, and most importantly have conversations with your farmer!
We have a weekly raffle of items donated by local artisans to help support the market. This takes place at the Manager's Tent where you can also get SNAP tokens, Fresh Connects Checks and information about Farmers Market Coupons and other programs. We sell T-Shirts and shipping bags with our logo too.
There is a Kid's Tent where children can participate in a weekly craft activity with the assistance of volunteers.
We have Youth Vendors selling their handmade products. We also have College Students participating in the market.

The market takes place between 11 am and 3 pm every Sunday from mid July until mid November at village green at the corner of Main Street and Saxon Drive in Alfred. You can find seasonal vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, herbs, maple syrup, honey, flowers, wool, bread, pastries, crafts, and wine.The market participates in the SNAP and Senior Nutrition programs. Directions:
Parking is free on Main street on the weekends. Also, you can turn onto Saxon Drive and park anywhere on Alfred University's campus during your time at the market! There is parking across the street by the wooden playground.
