The Emporia Farmers Market is a year-round marketplace for local growers, bakers and artists.

The mission of the EFM is to:

1) Provide a community gathering place where local farmers and gardeners may offer fresh agricultural and related products;
2) Enhance the community's nutrition options with high quality seasonal produce;
3) Support area farmers and vendors in developing sustainable business opportunities;
4) Provide a vehicle to educate the community on the importance of nutrition to good health, and
5) Foster a sense of local pride and further the economic development of Downtown Emporia.

The friendly, helpful people with the best and freshest produce around. Tracey Graham and her helpers work hard to put on special events at the market. A trip to the Emporia Farmers Market is really an outing, an adventure.

It's a great way to get fresh fruit and vegetables! They found ways to use the Vision card (food stamps) which helps these individuals make the most of their money by purchasing excellent home grown fruit and vegetables at a cheaper price, making their dollars go even farther.... [more]
