At Spice Farm we use ecologically sound and sustainable practices such as rain harvesting, hand weeding, IPM, companion planting, crop rotations and compost from our own heritage breed chickens and pigs to grow carefully selected varieties of organic and often personaly harvested, heirloom, open-pollinated seed. We are guided by the principles of regenerative/indigenous agriculture and permaculture. We use a mixture of deep organic practices, and we do not use any harmful chemical pesticides, etc. We nourish the soil and believe that healthy soil and plants are the roots of our outstanding produce, native Texas, heritage and pollinator plants.

Spice Farm is a small, family owned and operated hand-scale farm. Spice Farm was first established in 2010 high on the hills overlooking the Susquehanna River near Owego, NY. Moved to Texas in 2014 and re-established Spice Farm on 10 acres in the Texas Hill Country in 2020. We now grow a wide range of fruits and vegetables, perennials, natives, butterfly plants, culinary, medicinal and natural dye herbs as well as cut flowers to delight the senses.

Spice Farm subscribes to the NOFA-NY Farmer's Pledge and is committed to food justice for all.
