The Canon City Farmers' Market is a grow your own market. Only products that are made or grown by the vendor will be allowed. The market is 17 years old and has a history of being a valued community event. The market runs from June to the first week of October and is moving to Tuesdays in 2012. The hours are 7 AM to 1 PM.
The market is located on the shaded street in front of our Historic Library and Arts Center, providing opportunities for the community to interact with these valuable resources. Fremont County prides itself with a history of growing produce. Historically, this area grew vegetables to supply to the minors in near by Cripple Creek. Apple and cherry orchards also were abundant in the Canon City area. We are proud of our history with growing our own local food and we are proud to have 2 local organic farms still in existance. The Canon City Farmers' Market includes Pueblo growers in the market and our own local Organice grower, Lipis Farms along with several local backyard berry and fruit growers.

I am a vendor at the Canon City Farmers Market. Two weeks ago, I had some car trouble and needed a jump start. Luckily I was within walking distance!... [more]

For 13 years this market has been the center of our community as a gathering place, a place where non profits are, and a place where we can depend on our produce being local Colorado grown produce only. A grow your own market where you have to grow it yourself to sell it.
