Windflower Farm is dedicated to growing a huge diversity of annual and perennial, premium cut flowers to create dynamic, vibrant bouquets for our local markets, weddings and events. Our operation is committed to environmental and socially-responsible practices; we pay our help a living wage and use only regenerative agricultural methods, no chemical herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers. Greenhouses, windbreaks and rock walls increase radiant warmth and extend the productive season. Crop rotation, cover-cropping, mulching and the planting of flowers that attract beneficial insects ensure a healthy and vibrant ecosystem.

We keep a small herd of Alpine/Saanen dairy goats and a diverse flock of heritage laying hens. We love our animals and provide the highest standards of humane care, and pasture-management. Occasionally, we also raise heritage pigs and ducks. Our animals each make unique contributions to the farm, not the least of which is their ability to provide home-grown fertility that is carefully composted on-site.

We offer a unique menu of agri-tourism adventures: farm stays in luxe accommodations, goat hikes in the local forest, flower harvesting/arranging workshops, as well as fine art sessions in the farm and local forest landscapes.

We lease our large veggie field to a market farmer but still continue to grow a vast selection of vegetables, fruit, and herbs for home use. Exotic and heirloom varieties of tomatoes, peppers and eggplants grow alongside a wide array of heirloom and common vegetables in season - lettuces, fennel, chicories, braising and Asian greens, beets, potatoes, carrots, peas, squash, onions, beans, and specialty cucumbers - the list goes on and on! Our herbs include tarragon, thyme, rosemary, sage, marjoram, chives, French sorrel, parsleys, basils, dill, cilantro, lavender, savory and mint. Fruits include table grapes, melons, raspberries, strawberries, currants, blueberries, rhubarb, apples and plums.

We are currently seeking a farm intern for the 2023 season. Gardening, Farming and Horse-handling experience is helpful but not required.
