Cooperative Farmers Market of Scranton

Buy local, know where your food comes from, and experience the touch of country as you browse down the midway at the Cooperative Farmers Market of Scranton Pennsylvania. Quality, freshness, great prices, fresh air and friendly service are what you will find. 2013 will be our 74th season! The most important feature that has attributed to the Cooperative's success, is that all our products are "HOME-GROWN and FRESHLY PICKED" by the farm members. The present 4-acre site, off Providence Road and Albright Avenue, was purchased from the city of Scranton. It houses 40 stands with overhead roofs, a paved midway, lots of convenient free parking, a food concession stand, electricity, even restrooms. The Cooperative membership consists of second and third generation farmers, is governed by a Board of Directors and all monies generated from rental fees are generated back into the cooperative's budget to pay for expenses and amenities. Along with a wide variety of seasonal home-grown freshly picked fruits, vegetables and herbs, you will find baked goods, jams and jellies, meats, eggs, cheese, freshly cut and potted flowers. Directly from our farms to you! As an added attraction Special Events will be scheduled. The Market is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Opening day for 2013 is Wednesday, July 17th at noon.
