Located in historic downtown Montpelier, the outdoor market runs every Saturday from 9 am - 1 pm, May through October. From December through April, the market moves to the Barr Hill Distillery for a hybrid indoor/outdoor market and is open from 10 am to 2 pm. Over 50 vendors in summer, and 30 during the winter season, provide a wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, seedlings and perennials, meats, cheeses, eggs, honey, and maple syrup. Specialty breads, baked goods, and ethnic foods along with many high quality crafts are also available. Live music every week in the summertime. Everything at the market is made or grown by the vendor and is from Central Vermont.
They have a diverse selection of excellent fresh produce, as well as baked goods, maple syrup, crafts. Being there, meeting friends and neighbors - it's a great feeling. The Farmer's Market is an asset to the community.

This market helps so many small food producers get into and say in business, supporting our local economy and agricultural landscape!

It's an awesome opportunity to support my community directly, not to mention being exposed to all of the talents and trades of people in the area. I am a new resident of Vermont and I think more places around the country should have this type of community gathering. Again, it's awesome!
