We have four seasons of CSA under our belt, and we are itching to begin our fifth one. We love growing food for our community members. Ranking second on our list of fun jobs is helping our members find other local foods. Our website offers more information about this.
We believe it is important to grow crops which are free of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Healthy soil is the key factor in growing nutrient-rich foods. We use green manure, natural fertilizers, compost, and crop rotation to enrich the soil. Weeds are controlled with a tractor or by hand. Pests are controlled only when absolutely necessary using organically certified means.
Shared Earth Farm is dedicated to providing members with a variety of naturally grown foods. We grow only for our CSA. We do not sell to markets or wholesalers. We invite you to become a member and to participate in the production of some of your food.
